by: Del Boyette 06/23/2017

Del will join mayors from all over the United States at the 85th Annual Meeting of the United States Conference of Mayors in Miami, Florida. The meeting is designed with several Task Force sessions that Mayors and guests can attend, enabling them to bring what they learn back to their cities. At the request of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, Del will engage the audience in a discussion at the Ports and Exports Task Force on Saturday morning.

Using Boyette's work with the Little Rock Port Authority as a case study, Del is looking forward to informing mayors about what they can do to maximize the economic impact of inland ports in cities across the country. Here’s an overview of what mayors can do to maximize their inland port:

• Adequate Sites for Port Utilization
• Understand Strongest Competitive Position
• Nurture and Support Existing Industries
• Public Awareness
• Positioning Grants and Infrastructure Improvements
• Measure Impact
