Project Description

As part of the 10 year anniversary of Boyette, the firm hosted a one-day client “ThinkIn” at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock in June 2015 with more than 40 clients attending. This year’s ThinkIn was held in Bentonville at the host hotel, 21c.

The ThinkIn is an interactive event covering a host of industry insights and trends, which generated thoughtful dialogue among economic development professionals from across the United States. Topics discussed included Generation Z, Incentives, Workforce, Social Media, and client economic development success stories.

The City of Bentonville engaged Boyette to develop an economic development strategic plan to guide its efforts for five years. This Blueprint outlines a plan that will maintain progress and continue efforts to create new opportunities for job creation and investment in the community.

The Bentonville Blueprint was developed with the involvement of more than 400 participants that included interviews, visioning sessions, and an online survey. The Blueprint includes both the identification of seven targeted sectors for Bentonville to focus its marketing efforts, as well as strategic priorities in seven areas of focus with strategies and action items related to each. These targets and strategic priorities allow the City of Bentonville to focus on leveraging its exceptional assets, mitigating its challenges, and filling voids in its economic development inventory. In addition, an implementation plan and metrics to measure results were also provided to the City.

Boyette is thankful for the ongoing partnership with the City of Bentonville and its economic development leadership. Notably, Boyette and its partner, Stone Ward, developed the newly launched Invest Bentonville website.
